Lifelong angler Phil Morton returns in this episode of Urban Fishing, as he visits one of his favourite local venues in search of Huge Bream. As Urban as they come, the Walthamstow reservoirs are a lush, green Oasis right in the middle of North London. Phil spills the secrets he's learned from years of fishing the venue with a masterclass on spodding and rig tactics, but the weather's causing big problems. High winds force the crew off of the main lakes, but Phil gets a lead on some huge barbel living in a pipe system on the nearby Copper Mill river. More determined than ever, Phil heads back to the big lakes the next day for one last shot at the famous Walthamstow monster bream. It doesn't take long for the bite alarm to sound, kicking off one of the best Bream Fishing sessions of Phil's life.

Host Mark Melnyk is in for a real treat in this episode of The New Fly Fisher, as he takes an ultimate fishing holiday to fly fish for Bonefish, Permit and the mighty Tarpon on the saltwater flats of Belize. It would be hard to argue that these aren’t the most desirable species in the world to catch on a fly rod, not just because of their picturesque habitat, but because they are all knowns as the hardest of fighters. Hook any of these species in the glassy clear water barely a foot deep and you’ll have a true scrap on your hands. Barely stepping out the front door of Tarpon Caye Lodge, Mark and friend Tom Rosenbauer are immediately greeted with a bubbling school of Bonefish. After countless bones and Permit, guide Ernest Garcia takes the duo out to deeper water for a chance at every fly fisherman's wet dream, a big, silver, acrobatic Tarpon. Sun, sea and big old sport fish, what else could you ever need?

The Test, The Itchen, Broadlands, Mottisfont, Halford, Skues and Sawyer are all names associated with the chalkstreams of England and amongst the most noteworthy in the world of fly fishing. CHALK is a feature length film about the past present and future of the chalkstreams of England and how their very existence shaped the sport of fly fishing. We meet the people who continue to fish and care for these storied rivers, while learning about the techniques that Halford, Skues and Sawyer invented. In addition to visiting the famous rivers and beats, we also travel to some lesser-known rivers. CHALK is a thoughtful examination of why the chalkstreams of England are probably the most important rivers in the history and development of fly fishing. From the geology that created the rivers and their abundant plant and animal life - including the legendary mayfly hatch - to the characters past, present and future who make these rivers unique, this is the definitive chalkstream fly fishing film. The film celebrates the rivers while also drawing attention to the threats and challenges facing these fragile environments. CHALK was narrated by actor and keen fly angler, James Murray and features some of the most recognisable names and faces in the UK fly fishing world, including Marina Gibson, Alex Jardine, Steve Cullen, Glen Pointon and Charles Rangeley Wilson, as well as anglers from all over the world. The expert voices and thoughtful voiceover complement the stunning cinematography, combining to tell the story of these precious waterways that have shaped a sport. CHALK was created by Fishing TV, independent filmmakers aka Chalkstream Fly, and fly fishing writer Simon Cooper. Members of the international fly fishing community helped to fund the production, setting CHALK apart from other films about the sport. A must-watch for all fly fishers the world over.

Starting at the source near Cirencester, Rae travels downstream and meets many people working and fishing on the river, explores the river's great history in trade and leisure pursuits, and examines its current environmental state. He of course samples the myriad of fishing opportunities the river can still offer anglers from fly fishing in the upper Thames, to fishing from a punt in Oxford and fishing for large Roach in the centre of London with old pal Keith Arthur.
