After all the build up, we finally get into the action on Day 1 of the 2019 Collegiate Bass Championship on Pickwick Lake, Alabama. There are over a hundred teams representing their respective colleges and universities, in what is regarded as the biggest event of the year. As well as the Championship trophy, the award for School of the Year will also be presented. The pairs have to fill a 5 fish limit and the guess is that anything over 20lbs will be near the top of the leaderboard. A couple of practice sessions have suggested that the Bass will be deep in the water and that locating some well inhabited ledges could be key to success. Defending champions Cole Floyd and Carter McNeil from Bethel University are out early and putting a decent bag of fish together, can they make it two years in a row?
