Cosmoledo is Fly Fishing Nation and Blue Safari Seychelles’ second film that explores the Outer Atolls of the Seychelles, following the award-winning short film 'Farquhar'. This captivating documentary delves into the evolution of Cosmoledo Atoll, a story that began with exploration and the hope for a bounty of fly fishing opportunities. What was discovered surpassed all expectations. While there are numerous places to catch Giant Trevally, few offer the thrill of doing it on the fly, and none with such numbers. In 2016, Yeti's short film 'Cosmo' shattered the silence, unveiling Cosmoledo to the global fly fishing community. Suddenly, every fishing enthusiast with internet access knew its name. This documentary raises critical questions about sustainability and conservation: Can such a delicate ecosystem endure the newfound pressure? Can angling truly benefit an ecosystem? The film examines the ideal state of untouched environment, dreams that require dedicated individuals to protect, nurture, and mitigate human impact. After the initial highs of exploration, the numbers have stabilized, and their consistency tells a story of success. Through stunning visuals and insightful interviews, 'Cosmoledo' captures the delicate balance needed to preserve this unique ecosystem for future generations.
