The Journal presents an exciting December episode of Crappie fishing in Carolina using various methods. Cliff Edwards employs a typical jig bait and spinning rod setup, while Paul Shuey experiments with a fly rod. As they transition from the warmth of fall into the cold winter months, they discover that these usually small fish can grow surprisingly large, providing excellent sport. In gear time, they discuss the spinning gear and jigs used for their setups. Meanwhile, Donna takes to the kitchen to demonstrate her delicious recipe for trout cakes.
