In this instalment of Urban Fishing, expert predator angler Ant Glascoe Jr. is back in his hometown fishing lures on the River Irwell, searching out that big Manchester Pike that eluded him in the last episode. He begins in the grimy centre of Salford, casting beneath the graffiti covered bridges and weirs he fished as a young boy. Ant explains how to stay mobile when fishing lures on these big rivers, constantly moving between structures and pools to locate these wily predators. Once again, drama strikes as Ant’s girlfriend goes into labour in the middle of a promising session. However, once the dust settles, he returns to a beautiful stretch of river two weeks later and finally gets the opportunity he’s been looking for.
