Jerry Hammond is a lifelong angler who also happens to own one of the country's top fisheries. Follow him through spring and summer as he pits his wits and skills against the carp at Carthagena Fisheries in Lea Valley.
Some stunning arial and underwater shots compliment Jerry's thoughtful explanations of the techniques he uses and his reasons for using them, and he teaches us about the carp's breeding cycle.
It’s summer and Jerry Hammond is after carp at Carthagena Fisheries in the Lea Valley. Great aerial and scenic shots complement even better underwater footage of the carp in amongst their natural habitat looking for food. Jerry sets his corn tipped tiger nut and lays a trap close in to tempt his quarry.
It's late October and Jerry has popped over to Etang le Fays in France. Set in an ancient forrest this stunning fishery was created by Jerry's old mate Mark Eldrich and hosts some monster fish to over 70lbs.
The conditions are tricky though, with warm sunny days followed by frosty nights. Will Jerry be able to pull off his dream of a new PB?
