Crucian Carp aren't big but they are certainly beautiful and are highly prized by the UK's coarse anglers. In this episode, Des Taylor heads over to the home of crucians, Johnson Lake in Surrey.  Johnson Lake has produced some magnificent fish in the past producing many 3 and 4lbers so can Des beat his PB of 3lb 9oz today? Conditions aren't perfect but after carefully selecting his swim on the windward bank, Des gets his rods out and explains the various methods and tactics he will use to target the lake's specimen crucian carp. Des heads up to the Big Smoke for a session out of Kingston-Upon-Thames. He joins local skipper Warwick Salzer onboard Fling Your Hook, and they try trolling an assortment of live and dead baits targeting pike and if possible an elusive zander.
