Adam Penning doesn't deny it - he's a dyed-in-the-wool carp addict. More than thirty years of angling has given him plenty of time to ponder what it is that makes carp fishing such an obsession for so many people.
In this series Adam goes fishing with well-known carp anglers and learns about how their love affair with these elusive fish began, what it means to them and what prompted a hobby to become an obsession.
In this first episode, Adam Penning meets up with die hard, carp addict, Scott Maslen who, when he's not in front of the camera spends a lot of time chasing carp. They discuss their joint carp addiction whilst fishing the legendary Quarry fishery in Essex, in what turns out to be quite an epic session.
In the long awaited second episode of 'Addicted to Carp' host Adam Penning meets carp farmer extraordinaire Simon Scott. The pair head to Shillinglee, a day ticket water near Simon's fish farm, for a 'cheeky overnighter' and a chinwag. Among other things they discuss are Simon's first memories of carp fishing, his preferred styles of carp fishing, and what it is that makes him such a carp-addict.
