Lake Salasco Italy

This episode of Catch the Trophy visits Italy’s Lake Salasco, lured in with promises of massive trophy Carp. Having travelled most of Europe in their pursuit of trophies, this is the first time the crew have fished in Italy. Lake Salasco is home to to some incredible Sturgeon, Grass Carp, Catfish and most importantly some famous King carp. One in particular, nicknamed ‘El Toro’ holds the Italian record at almost 42kg, so the boys discuss the heavy duty tackle they’ll be using. The trip gets off to a good start, but as the weather takes a turn, they begin to understand why these monster carp have such an elusive reputation.
