Predator is the 2nd film in the Planet Fly Fish series and looks at the predatory instincts of some of our most sought after fish in fly fishing. Filmed in New Zealand and Australia, the film starts in New Zealand with rainbow trout targetting dragonflies and big brown trout attacking smelt in spectacular fashion before we head to the wilds of Australia in search of barramundi. These iconic Australian fish provide electric sport for fly anglers as their raw power and aerial prowess testifies. In Western Australia we meet the Queenfish which prowls around the mangrove and can be targetted with poppers for some exciting fly fishing action as local guide Jono Shales aptly demonstrates. Further down the Western Australian coast is a group of islands where the tropical waters of the north meet the more temperate waters of the south, and course its a haven for fish. The Samson fish, named after the famously strong Biblical character, and part of the Trevally family, resides here and they aren't easy to land at all!
