The Final
23:30
It's the final showdown. Six anglers started the on this journey, this epic quest for greatness, this bid for Carp Wars glory. Jerry Hammond was the first to fall, with Mark Bryant and Ian Chillcott falling soon after. Ian Russell nearly made it all the way but was just beaten at the bell in the final group match. In the end it was Dave Lane and the young challenger Harry Pratt who came out on top after the group stages, and it is they who made the journey to Etang Le Fays in France for the 48-hour final. And this really is it, what it's all been about. Winner takes all.

After 14 hard hitting rounds it all comes down to this - Harry Pratt vs Ian Russell for the second spot in the final. Both anglers can claim that place, and no doubt Ian will be desperate to protect his reputation, but having already caused one or two of the pro’s a bit of a headache so far in the series, Harry must fancy his chances too. Can he defeat the odds and keep his Carp Wars dream alive?

In the penultimate match in the group stage Dave Lane and Mark Bryant face off. Dave is looking to book his place in the final, but if Mark can pinch just one point it leaves the competition wide open ahead of the final group match.

This episode sees two great mates go up against each other - Dave Lane and Ian Chillcott put their friendship to one side in this crunch match from Brightlingsea Fisheries. They're tied in third place, but with a match in hand, Laney must feel like he's got the best chance of a place in the final.

Things are starting to get serious. This week's episode sees veteran carper Jerry Hammond go up against the rising star of the carp world Harry Pratt. Jerry desperately needs a win to avoid losing all of his five matches, while Harry, currently sitting in fourth place, could leapfrog Chilly and Dave Lane to take second place, *if* he can take all three points.

The competition’s two military men go up against each other this week, with Jerry “the Sarge” Hammond locking horns with Ian “Chilly” Chillcott. It’s a bottom-of-the-table clash, with Jerry hunting down his first win of the season, and Chilly desperately trying to stay in the running.

In this episode the Gordon Ramsay of carp baits, Mark Bryant, takes on the formidable force that is Ian Russell at the Birds Green Fisheries. There's four anglers within a point of each other at the top of the leaderboard, so there's everything to play for.

Jerry desperately needs a win in order to break his losing streak, but Ian, currently in fourth place, could go top with a win... Both guys gave it their all in this match, but who'll take the honours, and the points?

Ian 'Chilly' Chilcott takes on Mark Bryant in the latest installment of Carp Wars 2016 - it is a crunch time for both of these anglers - Mark could go top with a win, while Chilly needs victory to stay in the race.

Currently top of the leaderboard, Harry ‘Potter’ Pratt takes on the old warhorse Dave Lane. Can Laney topple the young pretender or can the young wizard continue to cast his spell over the experienced heads?
video
With both Jerry and Dave languishing at the bottom of the leaderboard, both on zero points after one match each, there's every incentive for them to go all out for the win in the latest installment of Carp Wars. Two expert carp anglers slugging it out - that's what Carp Wars is all about.
video
This is what Carp Wars is all about: two of the UK’s most respected and knowledgable carp fishermen going head to head. In tricky conditions, which of the two Ians will come out on top? Two points for Russell would see him leap-frog Mark Bryant to join young Harry Pratt at the top of the leaderboard, and three would catapult him into first place, while Chilly is still hunting his first points of the series, so it’s all to fish for.

Harry "Potter" Pratt has already caused one upset by beating carping legend Ian ‘Chilly’ Chillcott in his first match. Now he has the chance to go top of the leaderboard by beating Mark Bryant, the rig and bait specialist. But since Mark’s also got a chance to go top, expect sparks to fly!
