Check out this new series. Dedicated outdoorsmen, the Sibleys love a bit of fishing and visit various locations in the US in search of fish for the dinner table. More episodes to be added in the coming weeks.
Bouyed by their recent success on Red Lake, Joe Sibley and his father Ray spend a day ice fishing on a snow covered frozen lake in their local backwoods. This time they're travelling much lighter. Their preferred bait is Wax Worms on a small jig and it's Pan Fish they're hoping to catch.
The Sibley family head off to Northern Minnesota for a day's ice fishing on Upper Red Lake. They've got a cart full of high tech gear and they put it to good use, finding that the Walleye can't resist their small livebaits.
In this first episode the Sibley brothers head out on Lake Okeechobee for some evening Crappie fishing. Using freelined minnows, the devoted outdoorsmen get into some great sized crappies for the pot. Part 2 of the show sees them fishing out of Tampa with Capt Kevin in the Gulf of Mexico. Typical inshore species in this area include drum, sea trout, sheephead and whiting and the guys are keen to put something in the pot for dinner.
Its the walleye opener and the brothers head out in search of some early Spring fish. It pays to have a flexible approach at this time of year and the guys troll along the shoreline before anchoring up for some jigging with both tactics proving fruitful. Walleye are a prized fish for the table and the guys are keen to put a few in their well.
