Bream

53:48
Love them or hate them, Bream are a widespread freshwater fish, found all over the UK in lake, canal and river systems and a firm favourite with match anglers. Living in large shoals, once you find them, you can make hay, so with that in mind Keith and Rae hit the Old Lake at Bury Hill Fisheries. Keith suggests they fish between their bank and an island where's he's sure some shoals will be moving around, and he decides to fish the waggler whilst Rae gets on a feeder set up. After some methodical preparation, the pair start fishing and it isn't long before Keith gets the first fish with a decent Skimmer. Rae gets off and running soon after with a lively 2.5lb fish whilst Keith gives us some useful advice about locating Bream. The odd change of tactics, keeps the fish coming throughout the day and its been a very successful session. In the second part of the show, the guys visit a stretch of the Thames at Beale Park near Reading which recently held the Riverfest match where some huge bags were caught. Under Keith's expert advice they catch a couple of fish but can't find any big shoals so decide to move upstream. With a couple more fish landed, the rain starts to come down and Rae gets a very pleasant surprise when he lands a very chunky Perch.
