Mahseer, the name given to a number of different carp species native to the Indian subcontinent and southern Asia. But these are no ordinary carp. Known to British anglers in the Raj as Indian Salmon, they’re an important game and food fish across the region.
In The Fish of My Dreams, British angler Stu Walker heads into the Indian Himalayas, close to the boarder with Nepal, to the snow-fed Kali and Sarju Rivers to try to catch the fish he’s been dreaming of for ten years - a Himalayan Golden Mahseer. This is not fishing for the faint hearted: four hour treks and flycamps, not to mention the lurking danger of hungry leopards which prowl the riverbank after dark. But will he catch that fish he’s been dreaming about for so long?

Champion tarpon fly fisherman Andy Mill’s teamed up with John O’Hearn and they’re on a mission to hook up to tarpon in the Florida Keys. We learn how John came to fall in love with the flats, and pick up some tips on things like how to set the hook when one of these monsters takes the fly. Whether it’s the fat cigars, the fly selection or the team’s skill that brings the joy is hard to say, but these guys catch some big tarpon. If you like the sound of screaming reels, you’ll love this episode.

Hunting Trout Part 2
The troublesome twosome are back out early in the morning to witness the shotgun start of the day’s fishing and their motor racing pedigree comes in handy for some off the cuff motorsports commentary before they get back down to the serious business of catching some of Tasmania’s famous trout.
